Dear Students and Families:

We want to officially welcome you back to school for the 2017-2018 academic year! I hope you enjoyed a summer vacation filled with fun and exciting memories. This is always one of my favorite times of the year. I love the excitement of beginning each new school year. I’m thrilled to be part of a team comprised of teachers, staff, parents and students who want to achieve great things.

Please join me in welcoming our new teachers!

• Dan Seykora – JH Math
• Ashley Seykora – JH English

We are excited to have them join the RHS community. School will begin on Wednesday, August 23rd. School will be in session from 8:35-3:20. We will once again be having our late starts on Wednesdays for teacher professional development. School will start at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesdays. Please be advised that school will start at 8:35 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23rd .

Please, take the time to become familiar with the Panther Student Handbook. This handbook addresses many issues that may arise during the school year. It is our objective to be proactive in assisting students in being successful in school. Also, be sure to check out our school website http://www.rugby.k12.nd.us/. The Activities Calendar and Weeks Events tabs will keep you up-to-date on all RHS activities.

New this year is our RPS mobile app for both iPhone and Android smartphones. We are excited to bring this new technology to RPS and hope you will enjoy the convenience of it. Our new mobile app will keep you better informed about the news and events in our district and schools and will help streamline communication with our stakeholders. Be sure to allow push notifications for the latest information on weather closures and other important school events.
We look forward to a very positive and productive year together. We extend a yearlong invitation to our families to join us at school activities and events whenever possible. We want . . . we need . . . and we value your involvement and support in your child’s education! Please enjoy the remaining days of the summer, as we eagerly anticipate another great year at RHS!
Sincerely,

Jared Blikre, RHS Principal
